For those who need more info about ferry schedule, remember that we are a surfcamp, not the ferry company. So please, if you need to buy tickets or know more about this ferry, please contact the ferry company or contact your surfcamp (if you want to stay with us, please feel free to contact us! We will organize everything for you).
There are 2 kind of ferries to get to Siberut Island (Playground Area, Mentawai).
On the WAY BACK TO PADANG the Mentawai Fast Ferry works the same days (Tuesday (3h), Thursday (6h) and Saturday (3h) ) and it arrives at the same time: 6 PM to Padang.
That's why we highly recommend you to spend the last night in Padang so you make sure you take the flight to your next destination the next day.
There is another ferry working on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Padang to Tua Pejat (another island) and viceversa. We could arrange transport to that island as well for an extra cost of 240USD/way/boat. The journey takes 3.5h (by ferry) + 1.30h by speedboat to/from the island.

- MENTAWAI FAST FERRY: is the best choice regarding time and quality. It works on:
- Tuesday: 7am from Padang. It arrives at 13.30 to Siberut. (it takes more than 6 hours as it does not go direct)
- Thursday: 7am from Padang. It arrives at 10.30 to Siberut. (it takes more than 3 hours as it goes direct). BEST OPTION
- Saturday: 7am from Padang. It arrives at 13.30 to Siberut. (it takes more than 6 hours as it does not go direct)
- GAMBOLO, SUMBER, AMBU-AMBU: it takes from 10-12 hours (you spend the night there and you save a night in Padang). Contact us to know the Schedule, it often changes, but normally works on Friday at 5PM-6PM and arrives on Saturday at 5-6AM
