​OUR STORY


Ade (known by Ade Mentawai) and Dodi (known by Codoiik Mentawai winner 10 times in Sumatran Surf Competitions) two local brothers, started this project running a speedboat and bringing costumers to different surf spots, step by step and after 5 years running The Shadow Mentawai Speedboats, Ade built this surfcamp with all his family's help. So far, Dodi, Riyan, Papa and all the family still part of The Shadow Mentawai with all the Team Members that make this place special.

So far, they have been working so hard with many other local friends and family who helping them and working together to make the only local surf camp in a private island managed and owned by local people from Mentawai. 

THE FAMILY - THE TEAM

​We are all a big family, but when we say we are a family is because we considerer our costumers part of our family.

We open this surf camp in order to enjoy. Yes, we offer services, rooms and surf, but the most important thing is that we join and enjoy every costumer all whole day. 

What makes us different is that we are a local family, from the beginning until now we build everything of this place with our hands and with lots, lots of LOVE.
